The board adheres to the Subsidy Control Act 2022 by embedding clear governance processes that ensure all proposed subsidies are assessed against the Act's subsidy control principles, including necessity, proportionality, and minimising competition distortion. Through consistent oversight, transparent record‑keeping, and periodic review of compliance procedures, the board demonstrates that all financial support is lawful, targeted, and aligned with statutory obligations.

Public Sector Equality Duty

The board meets its obligations under the Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED) by ensuring that all decisions, policies, and services are consciously assessed for their impact on people with protected characteristics, in line with the Equality Act 2010. The board maintains transparent records, reviews compliance regularly, and embeds equality considerations into governance processes so that decision‑making is demonstrably fair, inclusive, and aligned with statutory duties.

Environmental Impact Assessment

The board meets its responsibilities for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) by ensuring that all relevant projects undergo a structured evaluation of their likely significant environmental effects, in line with the EIA Regulations. The board maintains transparent documentation, oversees compliance with consultation and publication duties, and embeds environmental considerations into governance processes so that decisions are demonstrably sustainable, evidence‑based, and aligned with statutory requirements.
