Final days to shape Thetford's £20m neighbourhood investment
Thetford residents are being urged to take part in a major survey before it closes on 18 September, with just a few days left to help shape how a £20 million neighbourhood investment programme is spent.
The 'forThetford' survey, part of the Plan for Neighbourhoods initiative, has already attracted strong interest, with hundreds of local people sharing their views on what matters most to them. From improving play areas and green spaces, to boosting local services, enhancing safety, or upgrading community facilities, the responses will directly guide how this once-in-a-generation funding is used to improve the town.
Jo Pearson, Chair of the Thetford Neighbourhood Board, said:
"We're in the final countdown. If you've been meaning to fill in the survey but haven't yet, please do. Every opinion counts. This is your chance to help decide how the investment shapes our town for years to come. Let's make sure Thetford's future reflects what people here really want. The clue is in the name - it's forThetford!"
Thetford's Neighbourhood Board, made up of local residents and community representatives, is leading the process and wants to ensure every part of the town is heard. Organisers are keen that no community misses out on the opportunity to influence decisions that will have an impact for the next decade.
Residents can complete the survey quickly and easily online at www.forthetford.co.uk, or pick up and return a paper copy from Thetford Town Hall, Breckland House, Thetford Library or Breckland Leisure Centre.
The survey closes online at midnight, but paper copies must be returned to the above locations in the town during their respective opening hours on 18 September 2025.
